Tl:dr used this shop for years but eventually left because they attempted to sell me a very expensive fix I didn't need and refused to fix a mistake they'd made. Long story. Brought the car in for a creaking noise. Assumed it was the suspension. The car was from a salt province in Canada so we've had problems with it before. They agreed with the issue and replaced part of the suspension. They said the other half was too corroded to fix. Drove it for a couple days and the noise came back. Called in and Dylan said to listen to it for a week then bring it back. Listened to it for a week, then called again. Kai said it was a new unrelated issue and we needed to bring it in. Brought it in. They came back and said it wasn't the suspension that was making that noise. It was the engine mount. That it would fail immeniently and it was a danger to drive. They said the noise had stopped momentarily because they had "oiled the joint". They wanted an addiitional $1400.. I asked about the suspension and they said there was no chance it was that. I refused service, collected the car, and took it to the Mazda dealership. Mazda looked it over and said the suspension hadn't been tightened properly. Engine mount was fine. Called 34th street to tell them and they told me I was wrong. That was almost a year ago. Car is fine. No issues with the engine mount. No noise since Mazda tightened somethings. Called 34th to let them know. They called me a liar. They'd always been pushy about extra maintenance, but usually backed down when i said no. This was the first time they drew a line in the sand like that.

34th St Garage has the most professional operation in Seattle. Terrific mechanics. Extremely helpful. Honest. Been using them exclusively for 15 years. They only get better.

Easy to schedule for fast service. Clean and organized shop. Professional, knowledgeable staff. Brought my 05 MDX in for oil, front brakes and fluid change. They had no trouble using OEM brake parts at my request. They caught the torn front lower control arm bushings, so avoiding some real future trouble. Done it one day. This is a good shop; I recommend them.

We have been taking our car to 34th street garage for years and always felt their service was prompt and courteous. Most recently, we asked them to complete a specific service as recommended by our Honda CRV maintenance system. First, they told us the tire rotation portion had already been done recently so they wouldn’t need to do that again (saved us some money.) they always provide a helpful red, yellow, green checklist report and I appreciated them helping prioritize the items and ultimately suggest the 2 most critical to repair and another (more expensive) that we could probably wait to the next service to get. I appreciated the thoroughness and empathy they showed. Will continue to use them for all our auto care needs

Friendly and trustworthy shop. They did great work on my car and were able to do it pretty quick. It drives great and they were very clear about what was needed vs what may be needed later, no pressure environment.
